Frequently asked questions
Is the roadmap creator really free?
Yes — no signup. Your roadmap never leaves the browser; it auto-saves to localStorage so you can come back later. When you click 'Email me the PDF' we capture your email and a handful of headline counts (item count, swimlane count, status breakdown, date range) — never the initiative titles or descriptions themselves.
Can I switch between quarters, months, and weeks?
Yes — toggle the time unit at the top of the editor. The Gantt preview and the exported PDF both re-render at the new granularity. Items keep their original start/end dates; only the column layout changes.
Can I upload my roadmap from Linear, Jira, or a spreadsheet?
Yes. Click Upload file and drop a CSV or XLSX. We auto-detect columns labelled Title (or Name / Item / Feature), Swimlane (or Team / Track / Category), Start, End, Status, and Owner — case-insensitive. Up to 200 rows are loaded; everything stays in your browser.
What format is the download?
A multi-page PDF in landscape A4 with a branded header, summary card, swimlane Gantt chart, an item list, and page numbers. The PDF paginates by swimlane when the Gantt overflows, and the item list paginates as a standard table. There is no XLS / CSV export — by design, since the PDF is what you share with stakeholders.
